Roman Coppola (born April 22, 1965) is an American director, music video director[1] and screenwriter[2] who has a cameo as Cid Rushing, one of Padmé Amidala's security officers in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.[3] He is the brother of Sofia Coppola, and son of director Francis Ford Coppola,[2] a longtime friend of George Lucas.[4] He is known for directing the movies CQ and A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, and for co-writing films such as The Darjeeling Limited and Asteroid City. He is also notable for directing music videos for musicians such as The Strokes, Daft Punk and Fatboy Slim.[2]
