It's not impossible. I used to bull's-eye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much larger than two meters.Luke Skywalker on the plan to destroy the Death Star
A skyhopper was any airspeeder designed to operate within a planet's atmosphere. Skyhoppers were commonly used as pleasure or utility craft, and were often flown as racers by bush-pilots in the Outer Rim Territories.
Luke Skywalker owned an Incom Corporation T-16 skyhopper during his youth on Tatooine, and Owen Lars was known to have kept an earlier model at his father's homestead around the time of the Clone Wars. Most of Skywalker's piloting ability in an X-wing was from his use of the skyhopper, since both craft were made by the same manufacturer and thus had very similar cockpits and controls.
