Tinnel IV was the fourth planet in the Tinnel system on the Corellian Run, and the sector capital of the Quanta sector.

At some point prior to the Third Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, a civil war was fought on Tinnel IV in which weapons of mass destruction turned its capital into a smoking crater. The ruins of the capital were afterwards known only as "The Abyss". An individual affiliated with one of the two sides of the galactic conflict would later explore these ruins.

During the Galactic Civil War, Moff Tiaan Jerjerrod's private estate was located in the capital city of Val Denn.

Tinnel IV was the homeworld of Falback Kord.
