The Weequay blaster lance was a type of exceptionally long-ranged blaster rifle native to Sriluur.[1]
Characteristics
An ancient model of blaster rifle,[2] the hard hitting blaster lance was developed by the Weequay of Sriluur for desert warfare.[1] Possessing unusually long barrels - some as long as two meters - blaster lances tended to be cumbersome.[1] This was offset by their extreme range (even when compared to other rifles), which made it ideal for hunting in desert wastes where enemies could be spotted at great distances.[1] Due to these qualities, blaster lances came to be revered for their ability to hit virtually anything visible under the light of Quay.[1]
History
Blaster lances were used by several members of Hondo Ohnaka's pirate gang. Some of Hondo's men attached blades to the ends of these rifles like bayonets. HELIOS-3D, HELIOS-3E, and another IG-86 sentinel droid, all members of Cad Bane's posse, were known to use these type of rifles. The bounty hunters Cato Parasitti and Twazzi were also seen carrying these weapons.
