Richard Bignell is a writer for Doctor Who Magazine. He also contributes to Nothing at the End of the Lane and edited the fanzine's 2009 publication, Farewell Great Macedon, which presented two unproduced First Doctor teleplays and material written by Bignell and other DWM writers.
He also wrote the reference book Doctor Who On Location and the fan documentary Doctor Who - The Making of Fury from the Deep released with Loose Cannon Productions.
He was a consultant for Mark Gatiss' biopic An Adventure in Space and Time.
He frequently is seen in the "Special Thanks" section of Doctor Who documentaries or Animation reconstruction, presumably for his expertise and/or documentation as a Doctor Who historian.
