Genmaji Temple

Stage f18

Genmaji Temple (拳磨寺, Genma-ji?) is a DLC stage in Tekken 8. It is the home stage of Heihachi Mishima, and the headquarters of the Tekken Monks on the fictional Mount Tekko (鐡孔山, Tekkōyama?). With his restored memories, Heihachi devastated the temple and its monastic order.

Description

This temple is where mysterious ascetic Tekken monks train themselves in blood-soaked drills in a secluded area deep in the mountains of Mount Tekko. The scenery changes depending on the time of day. The daytime atmosphere is solemn, the sunset time is filled with dancing autumn leaves, and the night is filled with falling snow.

Genmaji Temple has two time versions, with the default taking place during sunset, and the alternative labelled as "Daytime". The player can switch the stage version in the stage select screen. In the default version of the stage, the time of day will change to night at match point, however the Daytime version will stay the same.

Background Music

The BGM is titled "Ordeal".

Trivia

  • Genmaji Temple was added to Tekken 8 in the 1.08.00 patch on October 1, 2024.
  • The stage's kanji name "拳磨寺", can be translated to "Fist Ordeal Temple", hence the stage's BGM name.
