Checkerboard nightmare.
  • ??? (Decepticon Jet, 1995)
  • Accessories: Presumably 2 missile launchers, 2 missiles, 2 fists (left & right), 2 wings (left & right), 2 tail fins, front landing gear, sound effects box
A hand-painted mock-up of the original Ramjet in Navy "cloud camo" deco was known to exist for years. Whether it was ever meant to be taken into production and whether it was meant to be Ramjet or a new character remains unknown. It was originally offered for sale in October of 2000 from Whiz Bang Collectibles, along with other items seemingly from a former Hasbro employee's collection.[2] [3]
Presumably, "cloud camo Ramjet" would have been paired for release alongside "jungle camo Starscream" in the Generation 2 toyline, paralleling the regular Ramjet and Starscream, as well as the also-scrapped Sandstorm and Blackout. The latter two toys were seemingly slated to be 1995 product, so the former two were likely meant for that year as well; but given the dearth of production samples and the general shift away from reminding people of the old line in '95, it seems these toys were killed very early in that year's development.

Nobody cares about Sunstorm, apparently.
  • G2 Universe Cloudcover (Voyager Class, 2023)
Legacy Evolution "G2 Universe Cloudcover" is a redeco of Earthrise Ramjet (itself a retooling of Earthrise Starscream) paired with Dirge's open-mouth headsculpt, transforming into a modified F-15 fighter jet with cranked-arrow delta wings based on the F-16XL prototype. As one of the Coneheads, Cloudcover features a headsculpt based on the original Conehead design, though it is a faux piece not formed from the actual nosecone.
While the null-rays can be wielded by his pair of hands, it's almost impossible for him to properly hold them due to the size of his forearms.
The tooling is now cast in a checkerboard blue "cloud camo" color scheme based on the unreleased Generation 2 figure above. Like all other uses of the mold, Cloudcover has a missing molded panel-line detail on the right wing hinge that is supposed to curve in towards the body of the jet. The reason for this missing detail is likely due to it being missing from the metal mold itself.
Cloudcover was only available as part of the Toxitron Collection subline, which was exclusive to Walmart in the United States. He was one of three toys officially revealed and put up for pre-order on Walmart.com and Hasbro Pulse on March 13 in 2023 as part of Walmart's "Collector Con", and they shipped out to stores and online customers in mid-July.
