Constructicon (Kre-O)

The latest in a proud legacy of purple and green construction vehicles that combine.

The Constructicons are a group of Decepticons that transform into construction vehicles. The members of the group vary, and some members are able to combine into the mighty Devastator... although sometimes Devastator is his own Kreon.

Members of the Constructicons include:

• Bonecrusher
• Devastator
• Drill Bit
• Hightower
• Mixmaster
• Scavenger
• Scrapper

In addition, while not said outright to be members of the Constructicons (due to the fact that they don't actually show up in fiction), Long Haul and Hook are based on Constructicons in other continuities, transform into construction vehicles and share the same paint scheme, so it's highly likely that they are members of the group. Gravedigger and a couple of other Constructicon-coloured generics have also been seen, but it is unclear if they are members of the team.

Toys

Kre-O

Devastator is both the little green Kreon on the far left and the massive combined robot in the middle. It's not the first time.

• Destruction Site Devastator (2012)

A "9 in 1" set that includes buildable versions of Scrapper, Drill Bit, Scavenger and Hightower, each of whom can be rebuilt from construction vehicles into robots, or combined into the super robot Devastator. Devastator takes cues from both his Generation 1 and Revenge of the Fallen incarnations. The individual Constructicons seem to be only vaguely inspired by past Constructicons. The set also contains a buildable "construction site" play environment.

Kreons of Devastator, Ironhide and a bunch of humans are included as well.

• Autobot Assault Devastator (2012)

A Toys"R"Us exclusive that's basically the Destruction Site Devastator set with an additional Ironhide buildable robot, and other pieces. It also comes with a G2-themed Devastator Kreon.

By Kreon homage standards, G2 Devastator is positively tame.

• Constructicon Devastator (2012?)

A Devastator Kreon sporting an orange Generation 2 deco that was handed out with Kre-O purchases at Toys"R"Us stores and BotCon 2013.

Too cool to be Devastator.

• Hook (Micro-Changer, 2012)

Part of the first wave of the Micro-Changers, Hook, who misses out to be part of the Devastator combiner set below, transforms into a blocky approximation of a crane.

Will devastate you. Adorably.

• Constructicon Devastator (Micro-Changer Combiner, 2013)

This Micro-Changer combiner set includes Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Mixmaster, and Scavenger, each of them based on their G1 counterparts.

All four can be rebuilt into their alternate modes and rebuilt into Devastator by taking them apart and combining their pieces.

Not cool enough to be Devastator.

• Long Haul (Micro-Changer, 2012)

Part of the third wave of the Micro-Changers, Long Haul is the last of the classic team to be released in Kreon form. Long Haul comes with extra parts that you can use to transform him into a dump truck and back.
