It's unwise to be rude to a dragon.

Dragonstorm is a beastly three-headed dragon, mighty gestalt form of the legendary twelve Guardian Knights who oppose Quintessa.

At other times Dragonstorm is instead formed from Dragonicus and Stormreign or he is a single, non-combining bot.

Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus

The Last Knight film

In 484 CE, the Knights formed Dragonstorm at Merlin's behest to wipe out the Saxons, winning the battle for Camelot. In the succeeding centuries, Camelot fell into legend and Dragonstorm was misbelieved by many, including Professor Viviane Wembly, as merely the exaggerated story of a catapult. A dispute over a three-headed dragon pendant depicting Dragonstorm that she found in a matching urn, was central to the falling out between Viviane Wembly and her father.

In the present day, the reawakened Knights formed Dragonstorm to fight Quintessa and the Decepticons. Dragonstorm formed on the hull of the allied Autobot ship and took flight against enemy gun emplacements on the section of Cybertron containing Quintessa's base, the ignition chamber. Along the way, Dragonstorm dropped Optimus Prime to the ground to fight the Infernocons. In the aftermath of their victory, Dragonstorm formed and flew alongside the Autobot ship to their homeworld. Toys

The Last Knight

  • Dragonstorm (Mega Turbo Changer, 2017)
  • Japanese name: Big Speed Change Dragonstorm
  • Japanese release date: 2017-10-28
  • Japanese ID number: TLK-31
  • Accessories: 1 pair of detachable wings, sword/tail
  • Known designers: Emiliano Santalucia (concept artist)
This larger figure of Dragonstorm transforms from three-headed dragon to robot via one-step autotransformation (with a Generation 1 Transformation sound effect being played at the same time) performed by squeezing and pulling the handle (if this doesn't work, try collapsing the dragon head to the back halfway). Dragonstorm also features a "Cyberfire" gimmick, which consists of a UV LED in it's beast mode's mouth, which is used to reveal the smaller Turbo Changers' UV painted insignia. He has a voice gimmick in both modes: In Dragon mode, pushing the controller forward pushes down his center Dragon head while emitting a roar at the same time. In robot mode, pressing the red button on his stomach will trigger dialogue like "Protect the Staff!", "Bear Witness!". The sounds can be turned off (and on again) with a switch.
His wings and tail are detached in-packaging, which is exposed due to the "TRY ME!" gimmick. Similar to the last movie's toy of this nature, it sold poorly, becoming a very prominent shelfwarmer even a year after the film's release.

No One Ever Listens to the Magical Dragon.
  • Dragonstorm (Legion Class, 2017)
  • Accessories: Tail/Sword
Released as part of the third wave of The Last Knight Legion Class figures, Dragonstorm transforms from a small three-headed dragon into a small robot. His tail also forms his sword, albeit undocumented in the instructions. Unlike most Legion Class figures, Dragonstorm is packaged in Dragon mode, but his instructions illustrate robot-to-dragon transformation steps.
His stock photo is mistransformed: his rear dragon feet are supposed to be folded up into his robot legs. However, the dragon's feet can be used as robot mode feet, albeit making him slightly shorter.

Fire and Blood
  • Dragonstorm (Leader Class, 2017)
  • Japanese release date: 2017-10-28
  • Japanese ID number: TLK-30
  • Accessories: Dragonicus's 2 Swords, Stormreign's staff
  • Known designers: John Warden (Hasbro)
Dragonstorm was released as part of the second and final wave of The Last Knight Premier Edition Leader Class figures. He consists of two roughly Voyager size Autobots, Dragonicus and Stormreign, who transform from robot mode to Dragonstorm's combined dragon mode.
Extreme caution must be taken for separating Dragonstorm from his packaging, as all three heads can and will snap off, and sometimes do in transit. Cutting away the plastic insert from around him works better than simply pulling the toy from the insert, but only marginally. The rubbery plastic of the heads is also liable to disintegrate the harder plastic connecting them to the body, thus causing the connection to snap apart, especially after some time has passed.
Dragonstorm was revealed as a part of a sponsored Entertainment Weekly article on June 1, ahead of the Transformers team's Google Hangout later that day.

  • Dragonstorm (Tiny Turbo Changer, 2018)
  • Series: 4
  • Bag code: C
Released in Series 4 of Tiny Turbo Changers, this figure is a small representation of Dragonstorm based on the robot modes of his Mega Turbo Changer and Legion class toys. Unlike most Tiny Turbo Changers, he lacks any sort of arm articulation, however his dragon mouth hand can still accommodate a 3mm post accessory.

Notes

  • When Dragonstorm is formed for the first time in the movie, Stormreign is not needed to become part of him. Later, when he forms in the present day, Skullitron and at least two other Knights have already died (though to be fair, the chaotic camerawork makes this difficult to discern). Apparently it doesn't require all twelve knights to make Dragonstorm at any given time.

Foreign names

  • Japanese: Dragonstorm (ドラゴンストーム Doragonsutōmu)
  • Mandarin: Bàofēnghuǒlóng (Taiwan, 暴風火龍, "Stormy Fire Dragon")
