Beastformers: Laser Beasts
- Shield Battler-6 (Multi-pack, 1988)
- Available in the Laser Beasts portion of the post-Transformers part of Takara's Beastformers toyline, the Shield Battler-6 were sold as a multi-pack containing all six members (Battlefennec, Fighthorn, Grencats, Killerhound, Manteaufrenzy, Stronghurricane), plus the two W Battler vehicles, the aptly-named "Red Battler" and "Gray Battler".
- They are unique in the Beastformers line in that they all came with not only weapons, but also shields that clip onto their arms, which can also attach to the front of the W Battlers.
- Like all Laser Beast items, this set commands a pretty high price tag on the secondary market.
Notes
- In the Hasbro Battle Beasts line, the six Shield Battler beasts were sold individually as "Battle Chargers" in its incredibly short-lived "Shadow Warriors" portion at the very end of the line's lifespan. Each one came with their own battle sled in either red, gray, or purple, the last one a color not made available in Japan, making it very coveted among collectors.
- However, six more "Shadow Warriors" were also sold as Battle Chargers with their own unique shields: Brown Lion, Hustlebear, Dragon Seahorn, Sea Panic, Puzzlecolor, and Scopecougar.
- It appears that the Battle Chargers were only released in European markets, but it's possible some eked their way into a couple of American stores. Naturally, all of these are ridiculously expensive on the secondary market, these last six especially so.
