Please tell us that's Japanese for "SHEEEAAK!"

The Sizzle (シズル Shizuru) is one style of Decepticon Sparkdash drone. They are not strong warriors on land, but make up for it with their superior aerial abilities, including their "Fire Sonic Boom" attack. This two-stage attack technique sees them plunge from the sky, striking their enemy with a jet of flame and then deafening them with a sonic boom created by the speed of their descent.

As Ginrai and Road King fought BlackZarak in China, the powerful Decepticon summoned one of each of the three Sparkdash Decepticons to aid him. Although the Autobots were briefly taken aback by the arrival of the new enemies, the Sparkdash quickly proved to be as fragile as the Seacons, allowing Road King to take out the Sizzle with one shot. God Ginrai - Save Cancer!?

Multiple Sizzles were among the Sparkdash and Seacon legions that backed up the Decepticons when they staged an attack on North America from within the Grand Canyon. Shūta Gō, Cab, Minerva and Cancer were badly outnumbered by the huge robot swarm, but help soon arrived in the form of Wilder and Bullhorn, who added enough extra firepower to wipe out the Decepticon drones. When BlackZarak attacked a city where Cancer went to, he brought one of each Sparkdash drone to join him in the destruction he wrought. As the Sparkdash set the city aflame, the Autobot Godmaster arrived to thwart their fiery felony. Charging through a huge jet of combined flame from the Sparkdash, the Godmasters tackled the drones, and Road King and Lightfoot teamed up to take down the Sizzle. • Sizzle (Sparkdash, 1988)
Sold during the Masterforce portion of the Takara Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, Sizzle transforms into a white and blue bird-monster, notable for the unusual organic relief that decorates its head and limbs. In creature mode, Sizzle can be rolled forward on a small wheel in his belly, activating a friction motor that causes "cold" sparks to shoot from his mouth.
This mold was sold concurrently in Hasbro markets as the Firecon Flamefeather, with no significant differences between the two.

  • Much like Masterforce's Seacons, the Sparkdash are never depicted in robot mode in either the cartoon or manga. The toy's package art is the only known "fictional" depiction of a Sizzle in robot mode.
  • All of the Decepticon Sparkdash molds have indentations on their beast mode legs seemingly meant for a rubsign. But both Hasbro and Takara stopped using rubsigns after 1987, so the spaces are "filled" with normal faction sigil decals.
