Soaring

Soaring is a Transformer from The Covenant of Primus portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Soaring was a paramedic who worked for the medical examiner Backburner. He was a notable victim of the Rust Plague, which caused the Age of Rust.

The Covenant of Primus

The Rust Plague had quickly spread to the entire crew of a lost cargo ship. All scientific attempts to slow down the Plague failed, and the scientist Technatron recommended all infected worlds be destroyed. Around this time, the medical examiner Backburner and his paramedic Soaring entered another infected vessel, documenting its effect on the ship and its victims. While on the ship, they documented several rooms with corroded structures, tools that crumbled to dust, red dust in the air, and shapeless lumps that were once the crew.

The next day, Soaring would be infected by the Rust Plague, killing him within two hours. Backburner would show the Council a live feed showing his upper chest, covered in holes and cavities. Red dust covered his metallic body. Backburner, also infected, informed the council that he planned to detonate the vessel he and Soaring were on, in the hope that it would prevent further spread.
