- Team Athenia is an Autobot subgroup from the Transformers Animated continuity family.
Team Athenia is a squad of Autobots stationed on the galactic rim. Its members are:
- Rodimus Prime, the leader
- Brawn
- Ironhide
- Hot Shot
- Red Alert

Team Athenia battled Team Chaar, composed of Strika, Spittor, Cyclonus, Blackout, and Oil Slick for control of space bridge 687-030, but was defeated. Team Chaar, though, ended up retreating due to Megatron's orders. TransWarped
Several of Team Athenia's members were later seen on Cybertron, welcoming home Sentinel "Magnus" when he returned with several Decepticon prisoners Decepticon Air and later Optimus Prime's team with a defeated Megatron and the AllSpark. Endgame, Part II
The Cool comic
While guarding a space bridge, Team Athenia found itself menaced by a Rock Lord. Attempting to fight it individually, their powers proved useless against its impenetrable shell. Rodimus then whipped his team into shape, combining their strengths to take down the monster. Victory won, Rodimus told his crew that with teamwork they'd be unstoppable.
Unbenownst to them, the Rock Lord had been unleashed by Team Chaar in order to test their strengths and weaknesses. The Cool Extra #2
