Overview
While coping with the loss of his older brother, Spike Witwicky and his girlfriend Carly discover the derelict Ark spacecraft, just as the Autobots and Decepticons inside are reactivated. As the Cybertronian civil war resumes on Earth and humanity is forced to reckon with alien invaders, Optimus Prime and his few remaining troops must band together to protect this new world and its people from the Decepticon threat.
Creative team
The series is written by Daniel Warren Johnson, who also draws the first six issues; Jorge Corona joins the series as artist starting with issue #7. Colors are provided by Johnson's longtime collaborator Mike Spicer.

Notes
- Frenzy is Red, Rumble is Blue.
- Prior to the comic's release, groundwork was laid for the series in the first issue of Void Rivals, which featured a guest appearance by Jetfire. Notably, Skybound's acquisition of the license had not yet been formally announced at the time, with the aforementioned Jetfire appearance acting as a surprise reveal.
