Trivia
- Following the high-end GUTS Hyper Keys and the simple and inexpensive Ultra Dimension Cards, Kiyotaka Taguchi, the director of Ultraman Blazar, wanted a collectible item that would sell at an affordable price point without losing out on quality or play factor. With an emphasis on realism and compactness, he had the image of a "mineral that originated from outer space" in mind, which would be in the shape of a small medal so that it would be easy to collect. When he worked together with Bandai on the Blazar Stones, Taguchi requested that they forgo the use of stickers and instead use 3D printing to create a three-dimensional image with holographic patterns to invoke a sense of quality. [4]
- The images on the Blazar Stones are based on the shadow puppets featured in the Ultraman opening theme, "Ultraman no Uta". [4]
