Death Penalty! 5 Ultra Brothers is the thirteenth episode of Ultraman Ace. It is the first part of a two-part arc which features the previous four Ultra Brothers a second time.
Synopsis
Seiji and Yuko notice the Ultra Sign shown in the sky. Ace joins up with his four brothers, and they head to Planet Golgotha. Unfortunately, this is all a trap devised by the Yapool. Terrible-Monster Barabbas arrives on the undefended Earth!
Plot
Early in the morning, a pair of newspaper deliverymen brothers caught the sighting of a Terrible Monster. The younger brother Shoji managed to escape but his older brother Ichiro was killed when the public phone booth he was trapped in slammed onto the ground. Shoji's words about the Terrible Monster was dismissed by many and his brothers' death was wrongfully labelled as an accident.
At that same morning, the TAC's radar captured the image of Planet Golgotha, which had its namesake from the Biblical location where Jesus Christ was crucified. True to form, the planet in TAC's snapshot is shaped like a human skull and is located in the minus universe (an antithesis to the solar system). During their patrol, Hokuto and Minami are notified of an Ultra Sign for the Ultra Brothers to gather at Planet Golgotha through their blinking Ultra Rings.
Arriving on Planet Golgotha, Ultra Brothers claimed to have lured into the sign supposedly from Ace and vice versa. They discovered five Christian crosses with their signatures scribbled on it. All of the sudden, Yapool unleashes Baraba to Earth and accompanied with a radioactive-laced raindrops. The brothers were too late to discover the trap and was exposed to a freezing gas. With little energy left, they donated their portion to Ace for him to return to Earth, leaving the Brothers vulnerable to Yapool's crucifixion. On Earth, Hokuto and Minami fetched Yamanaka and Konno in their TAC Panther away from Baraba. Hokuto noticed Shoji and managed to lure him away from the battlefield, promising him to avenge for Ichiro. Ace appeared, rescuing Mikawa and fought the Terrible Monster despite the latter being protected by the radioactive rain. Yapool interrupted their fight and threatened Ace with the captured Ultra Brothers, forcing Baraba to have its own way and emerged as the victor.
