A message left by 1x1x1x1 in the giant screen in the 8th Annual Bloxy Awards, signifying that he was responsible for the depletion of the Imagination Core's power.1x1x1x1 WAS HERE
... And there came into this world a great darkness. A being of pure hatred with the name of One-by-One-by-One-by-One, or, in later ages, simply The Adversary. 1x1x1x1 is an entity from the fourth dimension who loathes Robloxia for it's 3D-ness and has vowed to destroy it. 1x1x1x1 was imprisoned by Two-by-Two at the dawn of time, yet there are those who seek to free him...The Necrobloxicon's old description.
1x1x1x1 is the main antagonist of the massively multiplayer online game platform Roblox.
Originally a test account created by one of Roblox's administrators, Shedletsky, the latter then started rumors about 1x1x1x1 being an evil hacker. Years later, 1x1x1x1 started hiding in multiple modern Roblox events, until serving as the main antagonist of Roblox's The Classic and The Games events.
There were many rumors that 1x1x1x1 was a hacker or leader of an exploitative group. Although the rumors about 1x1x1x1 have long been debunked, many users continue to believe them, along with the John Doe and Jane Doe rumors.
Despite all this, some players believe that he has become active again after Roblox released updates, further fueling fears that "1x1x1x1 is back and will hack everyone." As 1x1x1x1's popularity in the Roblox community has increased, Roblox has begun to reference him in the media and at official events.
Appearance
1x1x1x1 has a green and skeletal body, red eyes and a zip for a mouth. His head and limbs are pitch black and he also wears a green domino crown.

Rumors
In one of Shedletsky's stories, the character 1x1x1x1 was used to prey on users' fear and referred to as a "evil 1x1x1x1 part." This depiction has led to speculation that 1x1x1x1 is a genuine hacker. But according to former administrator MrDoomBringer, 1x1x1x1 is not a hacker and really began as a part of one of Shedletsky's Roblox backstories.
Background
According to the Necrobloxicon's description before it was changed, 1x1x1x1 came into the world from the fourth dimension. He hated Roblox due to its "3D-ness" and wanted to destroy it. 1x1x1x1 was then imprisoned by a hero named Two-by-Two. Many people still want to free him from his prison.

On the ship's giant screen, it glitches for a brief moment, with the words "1x1x1x1 WAS HERE" briefly appearing on the screen, confirming that he's responsible for the Imagination Core's power depletion. Additionally, in the voting area, the announcements would occasionally tell the players the report a player named 1x1x1x1 to a staff member immediately if he was seen. A 1x1x1x1 face is also hidden in the voting area.

Before that, 1x1x1x1 rants about how long he was imprisoned before he was freed. 1x1x1x1 then summons the Fallen King, but then loses control of him. The Fallen King is eventually defeated, and 1x1x1x1's plans are thwarted.
Event Ending
On the event's final day, the secret entrance in the Epik Duck Vault was unlocked when the Tix counter reached its maximum capacity and exploded. Four colored numerals must be located on the map and entered into the vault entrance. The wires to the right hint at the sequence.
When the players enter the vault, they will see a green and black sword. Pulling the sword will initiate a final boss fight against 1x1x1x1. Weapons obtained from tix in the game help out in the boss, while a linked sword can also be obtained in the arena in the event that the player has neither of the items. Defeating 1x1x1x1 initiates the event's credits to roll.
1x1x1x1 might have been defeated once and for all, but he also might return.
The Games
After the events of The Classic, 1x1x1x1 was sent to the Banlands. However, there is a set of rocks in the hub that turn green in the middle of the event in the lobby. Binary code and chains then start appearing on the rocks, later along with a countdown.
Near the end of the event, after the countdown, 1x1x1x1 had somehow opened up a portal near the rocks in the event's lobby. Going into the portal sends the players to the Banlands. The players go into the arena, which initiates a boss fight against 1x1x1x1. After 1x1x1x1 is defeated, he starts glitching and starts to fade away, as the Glitch Hacker Laurel enters the arena for the players to collect.

(Unknown, came from an old exploit report MrDoomBringer received.)1x1x1x1 is coming for you.
I posted this in a thread that subsequently died. I'm posting it here so you can refer back to it later. Keep the link to this forum. Distribute it. Tell people the truth. Let's talk about where the name comes from. Long ago, Telamon posted a number of stories about Roblox's backstory to the News. One of these included mentions of 2x2, the first brick. Copied over and over, every other brick were it's descendents.
Then, in a footnote, he mentions the evil 1x1x1x1. So that's where the name comes from. Blame John.
Let's talk about why people say he's a hacker. A guy who's (sic) name is long forgotten (not Zuka) found an exploit (not CheatEngine) to insert control scripts into online places. He sent me a message, telling me he had something to demonstrate. I joined him in Crossroads, and it started raining heads saying things along the lines of "He's coming back!" and "1x1x1x1 is coming for you!" and the likes. People in the server freaked out, I found it hilarious, he gave me instructions on how it works and I reported it to the devs. End of story.
Other people, like Dignity, would find others way to insert scripts, and people would assume that they have something to do with "the hacker group" 1x1x1x1.
Truth is, it was one guy playing off of a Roblox Lore thing.MrDoomBringer explaining the truth about 1x1x1x1.
Trivia
- His toy's appearance came from a fan model, which is now his official appearance.
- During RB Battles Season 3, there were rumors that the hooded figure ordering Russo was 1x1x1x1 (amidst other rumors about the former’s identity). This was later proven false, with the hooded figure revealed to be JP.
- His boss fight in The Classic was panned due to being "simple and boring".
- 1x1x1x1 is part of the first series of Mystery Figures series in Roblox toys, although he has an appearance that does not resemble any of 1x1x1x1's real avatars (for example, the figure wears a green Domino Crown that is not in the Roblox catalog), which is simply Roblox's referencing to the "Hacker" part of his myth.
- The first account, named 1x1x1x1, was created in 2007. The account was renamed to "request59245234857238947" and its ID is now 81619. This was due to a name reset exploit that occurred in Roblox in 2010. Apparently, the perpetrators were xSCENEx, whom MrDoomBringer called "Long Forgotten".
- The recreated and more well-known 1x1x1x1 account was created by a user named makkapakka3 in August 2010. This is because the account shared the same passwords as other accounts he had previously created, and he had publicly stated this.
- Due to their similarities, 1x1x1x1, along with Guest 666, is considered by some as "Roblox's Herobrine".
