The 7th Fleet, also known as Thrawn's Fleet, are major antagonists in the Star Wars franchise.
History
The 7th Fleet, previously led by Fleet Admiral Sartan, came under the command of Grand Admiral Thrawn around 2 BBY. Arihnda Pryce, the governor of Lothal, sought the fleet's assistance to combat the rebel group, Phoenix Cell.
Thrawn utilized the 7th Fleet to establish a blockade around Lothal, where he operated his TIE Defender factory. He also used the fleet to oust Phoenix Group from Atollon. However, in 1 BBY, during Lothal's Liberation, Ezra Bridger summoned purrgil to crush the fleet. Subsequently, the purrgil made Thrawn's flagship, Chimaera, which had both Bridger and Thrawn aboard, leap into hyperspace.
Organization
Fleet composition
The 7th Fleet of the Imperial Navy had the Chimaera as its flagship. This fleet included at least nine Imperial I-class Star Destroyers, sixteen Imperial II-class Star Destroyers, and six Victory II-class Star Destroyers. The Harbinger, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, was once potentially part of the fleet. The fleet also had ten Arquitens-class command cruisers, twelve Gozanti-class cruisers, and four Dreadnought-class heavy cruisers. Additionally, the fleet utilized at least two Interdictor-class Star Destroyers, named Konstantine's Interdictor-class Star Destroyer and the Constrainer. During operations on Lothal, the fleet stationed at least five ICM-092792 construction modules in the planet's orbit.
Military Strength
During their exile on the planet Peridea, the military forces led by Grand Admiral Thrawn decreased over time. His Stormtroopers, later named Night Troopers, were eventually reduced to a single legion, led by a soldier named Enoch.
