The Adana is the main antagonist of the 2023 Blade mini series. She is a primordial being of darkness and mother of many supernatural monsters in the Marvel Universe.
Biography
The Adana was a being that was around since before the big bang and she had mothered many supernatural creatures during the eons. She had big ambitions of letting all of creation being ruled by her and her supernatural monsters. She would slowly begin to take many steps in her plans but she feared the sword wield by Draven. So she would use Blade as a young woman damsel tricking him into fighting against Draven. When Blade succeeds in killing Draven she takes his holy sword and reveals her true colors. She enjoyed toying with Blade and defeating him in their first first. As Adana taunts blade for his failures and begins her plans Blade meets up with his allies in order to counteract Adana. During their second bout Adana humiliates Blade again leaving him so traumatized to stop her that he would go to Dracula for help.
Adana begins her plans and with Blade going about against her the third time to be bested b her and later on against all odds with the help of Draven and the others manages to slay Adana but her plans succeeded in the end with her monsters roaming around and having corrupted blade in the process. Indirectly getting Blade possessed to cause the events of Blood Hunt.
Powers and Abilities
The Adana is one of the most powerful entities in the Marvel universe possessing super strength, speed, stamina, and durability. She also can regenerate and uses magic to disguise herself. She is also cunning and manipulative like how she manipulated Blade into killing Draven and stealing his sword for her.
