Celenike Icecolle Yggdmillennia is a supporting antagonist in Fate/Apocrypha. She is the former Master of Rider of Black/Astolfo in the Great Holy Grail War.

She was voiced by Shizuka Ishigami (who has also voiced Saori Joumae) in Japanese and Lauren Landa (who also voiced Annie Leonhart from Attack on Titan and Kyoko Sakura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica) in English.

Personality

Unlike her relatives including Darnic Prestone Yggdmillenia, who are at worst well-intentioned extremists, Celenike is the most hateful and sadistic member of the Yggdmillenia Clan.

Celenike was a total pervert and a sadist, being downright heinous for her crimes of rape, cursing people to their death on Internet. She was also having a one-sided obsession towards the Rider of Black, real name Astolfo, who was her Servant.

Celenike also despised Sieg, whom she saw was a inferior Homunculus and an obstacle in her way possess her own Servant and satiate her sadistic obsession towards Astolfo.

In her final moments, after she was convinced that Sieg had turned Astolfo against her, Celenike's jealousy and sadism caused her to lashed out and desired to destroy Sieg without any cost. She even attempted to break Astolfo's sanity by forcing Astolfo to murder the homunculus, whom he had bonded.

After killing the mad woman (Celenike) while she was preoccupied with trying to make Astolfo kill Sieg, Mordred called Celenike as nothing but an annoying obstacle in her way, which is ironically how Celenike views Sieg. (This is why we love Mordred <333)

Biography

In the beginning of Great Holy Grail War, Celenike summoned her servant, Rider, along with her other clan members: Fiore summoned Archer, Caules summoned Berserker, and Gordes summoned Saber. Upon summoning Rider, she gave him a quick tour around the Yggdmillennia castle. While doing this, she took an sexual interest in Astolfo's young body. During her free time, she raped and tortured her Servant in her personal dungeon, although Astolfo was not initially too affected by this.

Some time later, Celenike and other clan members chased after the escaped homunculi. That is where they crossed path with a Ruler class Servant named Jeanne d'Arc. Jeanne stopped them from retrieving the homunculi, later named Sieg, and returning him to the Yggdmillennia castle and slavery as she promised Siegfried in protecting Sieg. When Celenike learned that Astolfo had helped the homunculi escape from Yggdmillennia castle and slavery, she punished him by torturing him.

During the battle between the Black and Red Faction, after learning that Astolfo have grown attachment for Sieg, Celenike threw a mental breakdown and vow to break her Servant's spirit. She entered the battlefield and used her Command Spells, used for Masters ordering their Servants that is near impossible for the latter to resist, to force Rider to kill Sieg in a gruesome manner. Astolfo tried to resist the Command but ended up striking Sieg with the latter barely dodging the attacks as both of them were severely injured at this point during the war. When Sieg stopped her and called her out for her unnecessary cruelty towards her Servant, in respond, she furiously stomped at him to the point of nearly killing him. Instead of killing him herself, she ordered Astolfo in attempt to kill Sieg for the third time, but as she ordered this, she was beheaded by Saber of Red.

Trivia

  • Celenike is the only member of her family who, without any reasons, is downright evil without redeeming qualities, unlike Darnic has a soft spot on Fiore and wants Yggdmillenia to prosper no matter the cost, or Gordes who eventually softening up. As the result, she is the most horrible and evil antagonist in Fate/Apocrypha.
