Basil Karlo, better known as Clayface, is the minor antagonist in the 2022 Warner Bros. videogame Gotham Knights He also main antagonist of his side mission "Clayface"

He is voiced by Brian Keane.

Appearance

Clayface is mutated lager and muscular build mostly clay with no eyes even seen spike inn back.

Personality

He very obsessed to making film seen him as somebody even splitting himself acting. While enemies of Batman he show respect from him after Gotham knights tell him Batman died almost a year Clayface was in shock and upsets do not believe them Batman really dead.

Past

Karlo was a film actor plagued by anger issues and delusions of grandeur, which later lead him to his first encounter with Batman. During his last fight with Batman, where he held hostages, he considered his "fans" at a reservoir, he accidentally fell into a turbine and got shredded into a nasty mess. He resurfaced a year later from his coma completely unaware of Batman's death.

Upon his return, Clayface sent his clay homunculi to wreak havoc across Gotham City and to steal film equipment to create a slanderous movie of how Batman "killed" him. He starts fighting the Gotham Knights and was subdued into a crumbling mountain of dry clay.

He gets angry at them they weren't there. He waited for Batman to face him but give bad new to him Batman dead. Shocking Basil heard it last time see him only few days he really doesn't know because only almost year he doesn't believe them Batman really dead he took frustration out his clays then fighting them but unfortunately, he about to exit the sewer before telling them about his next project on Gotham farewell as he leaves.

They continue where Calyface is hiding then suddenly pieces of caly started to be moving to the sink trying grab it but it in drain. Barbara figure it out where Calyface at every piece of Calyface heading to Reservoir. They tracked him Reservoir found him but only bigger stronger and muscled thank to his Caly now fight him. He fell down in sewer of water something not right fighting is not over yet sending Batcycle to flee Calyface only where to stop find in smelting factory. Calyface followed which leading smelting factory trapped for him get caught it but still not enough bring him down they eventually and before unconscious he only wanted to be see give some sympathy. After defeated piece of him was taken Gotham City Police department.

Powers and Abilities

  • Acting: Originally an actor, Karlo took on many identities to cover his tracks. He even managed to fool the Gotham Knights, for a brief moment, into thinking he died while dissolved in water.
  • Malleable Clay-Like Form: His clay-like body is remarkably capable of changing appearances, creating weapons out of his hands, and spawn duplicates of himself.
    • Metamorphosis: Clayface can change his physical form into anyone and anything.
    • Bio-Fission/Fusion: He can create clay duplicates of himself, granting them independent personalities and/or sharing his consciousness, as well as fuse them all into his whole physical form. However, creating these duplicates would cause mental distress and incapacitation when he tries to be all separate beings at once.

Trivia

  • He is likely based on the New 52 incarnation.
  • Hints of Karlo being an egotist can be seen in a script he wrote in the sewers for his slanderous film calling himself the "awesome hero Clayface."
