Biography
Dragon Ball
Colonel Yellow is an officer of the Red Ribbon Army working under the orders of General Copper. He is an anthropormorphic tiger who mostly uses guns to fight, like most of the Red Ribbon Army's officers.
In age 750, he was tasked with finding the Dragon Balls for his boss and leader of the army Commander Red. He and his unit were ordered to search the holy area of Karin to find a Dragon Ball that was hidden there. Yellow had his men work hard day and night in order to find the ball. When a volcano erupted, throwing the ball into a native resident of the area named Bora, Yellow and his soldiers found him and started to interrogate him. Yellow realized that Bora was a strong man so he offered him a chance to work for them but he declined angering the Colonel. One of Yellow's men then spotted the Dragon Ball and informed his superior, who asked Bora to give it to them. Bora once again declined claiming that he won't help guys like them forcing Yellow to order his men to shoot him. Bora easily tanked their bullets and killed all of Yellow's men. Seeing that he would be killed too, Yellow retreated in a helicopter and contracted the Red Ribbon Headquarters to inform them of the situation.
Yellow told Assistant Black what happened and Commander Red. Tired of his excuses, they told him that he has one hour to steal the Dragon Ball, or else he would send the famous assassin Tao Pai Pai there to kill both him, the native warrior, and Goku. Yellow was scared when he heard this, and came up with a plan to use Bora's son Upa as a hostage in order for him to give him the Dragin Ball. When Bora went to bury the dead soldiers and throw their helicopters away, Yellow took advantage of this and used his helicopter to kidnap Upa. He then shouted to Bora to throw the Dragon Ball up, but Bora told him to get down and get it. Yellow knew that Bora would kill him, so he insisted at him throwing it up, but before he could get it, Goku appeared before him. Yellow realized who he was and shot at him, but Goku easily dodged the bullets and punched Yellow out of the helicopter, killing him and saving Upa. He later very briefly appeared in a flashback of Goku following his victory over Tao Pai Pai.
Dragon Ball GT
Colonel Yellow briefly appeared as a minor villain in the Super 17 Saga of Dragon Ball GT, when he was brought back from Hell, only to be killed by Pan along with General Blue.
Legacy
Colonel Yellow is the only named high ranking officer of the Red Ribbon Army, other than Assistant Black, that Goku killed personally. Even though Yellow was only present in one episode, his appearance triggered the pivotal events of Goku meeting Bora, Upa, Tao Pai Pai, and Karin, as well as meeting Fortuneteller Baba and his deceased Grandfather later.
