Curry Cook is a minor antagonist in the anime/manga series Kinnikuman.
Biography
Curry Cook: The Holy Man of Love and Fury
Curry Cook was born in India and would train at the Mala Wrestling Dojo under Master Ajanta so he could become a Chojin Wrestler, however, Master Ajanta would forbid it until Curry Cook learned how to control his rage for a year, if Curry Cook gave in to his rage, then Curry Cook will be expelled. Curry Cook would travel across India, trying to search for a way to control his anger.
Almost a year later, Curry Cook would end up in a village where he would meet Meena, a store owner and cook whom he would fall in love with, however, she and the other store owners at the market would be harassed by Cambridgeman and his men. Curry Cook would try to stop Cambridgeman, however, he didn't want to give into his rage so he would be knocked out and taken to Meena's place to rest.
After waking up, he would hear that Meena was being charged with being a drug smuggler by Cambridgeman and would be arrested. Cambridgeman would have his men destroy Meena's store before he slapped her, making Curry Cook give into his rage and he put a curry on his head before beating up Cambridgeman's men before fighting Cambridgeman.
Curry Cook would initially get beaten down and grappled by Cambridgeman until Curry Cook smeared curry into Cambridgeman's eyes, blinding him and giving Curry Cook the opportunity to cut open Cambridgeman's stomach with a kick before impaling his foot through Cambridgeman's stomach, killing him.
When Curry Cook turned to Meena, she was scared of him, afraid that he would kill her, making Curry Cook realise that he gave in to his rage. Instead of trying to go back to being peaceful, however, Curry Cook refused to allow villains continue to exploit people and would adopt a murderous persona in order to fight them.
Kinnikuman
Curry Cook first appears during the 20th Chojin Olympics as the official Chojin Representative for India. He makes it past all of the preliminary trials and ends up matched up against Kinnikuman, a Justice Chojin. Despite Kinnikuman being a complete buffoon, Kinnikuman ingested some milk which transformed his body into professional wrestler Inoki Baba, allowing him to win the match.
After losing, Curry Cook would become inspired by Kinnikuman and would drop his murderous persona.
Powers and Abilities
- Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin, Curry Cook has immense strength, speed and durability. Other abilities that Chojin have that Curry Cook has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
