Demon Hunters

The Demon Hunters are recurring antagonists in the Disney Channel animated show The Owl House. They hunted demons for profit until they became part of animal control.

They are voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson and Fred Tatasciore.

Biography

They first appeared in "Hooty's Moving Hassle" where they capture a demon in the market. They then capture the Owl House which was magically brought to life by Luz, Willow, and Gus during the Moonlight Conjuring after mistaking it for a demon. They tie up Luz, Willow, and Gus and lock them in the Owl House but they escaped and fought the Demons Hunters freeing the house in the process. Afterwards, it appears that most of the demon hunters quit as only the eyepatch demon, purple-haired girl and Tom are seen after this episode.

The Demon Hunters appeared again in "Escape of the Palisman" where they are forced to get jobs as Animal Control officers, claiming that its all they have right now. They arrive at the playground to capture Eda in her cursed form after getting calls from parents. They capture Eda and take her away but King saves her and turns her back to normal. While also destroy the hunters' cart.

They appeared in "Young Blood, Old Souls" as some of the many inhabitants of the Boiling Isles witnessing Eda's judgement of being turned to stone.

The Demon Hunters appear again in "Through the Looking Glass Ruins" where they are transporting a Slitherbeast, only for it to escape and attack Warden Wrath's son Braxas. Fortunately Bria and her posse use their various types of magic to subdue it, earning them the praise of the people.

The Demon Hunters appear again in "Reaching Out" as announcers and security guards for the Bonesborough Brawl. The purple haired girl and Tom break up the fight between Eda and Warden Wrath while the eyepatch demon serves as announcer.

The Purple Haired Girl took part of the Day of Unity which was said to be the emerging of the Boiling Isles and the Human Realm, only to discover that Belos had trick her and everyone as the Day of Unity was actually a draining spell that will wipeout everyone on the isles.

Trivia

  • The owner of a textile store in the Night Market, Prim bears a close resemblance to one of the former demon hunters, which could mean that she used to work two jobs until quitting demon hunting.
  • The purple-haired girl apparently lacked a coven during the events of "Eda's Requiem" but has since joined the Abomination coven.
    • It is however unknown if her comrades are in any coven or which coven it is.
