Biography
Dr. Meridian came to the attention of vigilante serial killer Dexter Morgan after one of his rich clients, Vanessa Gayle, committed suicide, shortly after two other powerful women killed themselves. Dexter investigated to see if their was a link, and discovered that all three had attended regular therapy sessions with Dr. Meridian.
In order to investigate further, Dexter, under the name "Sean Ellis", scheduled an appointment with Dr. Meridian. During the first session, Dexter managed to get hold of Meridian's appointment log, and found that he had a session with a patient named Scott Solomon at the time of Vanessa's death, meaning he couldn't have killed her, a fact confirmed when Dexter spoke to Solomon. However, Dexter still thought it was suspicious that three of Meridian's patients had committed suicide in quick succession, so he decided to continue investigating.
During their second session, Dexter noticed that Meridian had a small camera that he used to secretly record his sessions. That night, he broke into Meridian's office and watched the recordings of his sessions with the three dead clients, finding that Meridian had got them addicted to anti-depressants before withdrawing them, causing the victims to go into withdrawal, filling their heads with "truly brave" thoughts of suicide, even recommending the use of firearms.
Despite having enough evidence to _target Meridian, Dexter postponed killing him in order to discuss his sexual hangups. During the conversation, Meridian's questioning caused Dexter to unlock a repressed memory of the night he and his brother witnessed Santos Jimenez kill their mother, the event that caused him to become a killer in the first place. Finally understanding his urges, Dexter left the session.
During a later session, Dexter admitted to Meridian that he was a serial killer, and confronted him about his crimes before attacking him and sedating him with a shot of M99 before cling-filming him to his desk. When Meridian woke up, Dexter thanked him for helping him with his issues before slashing his throat with a reciprocating saw. His body was later disposed of in the sea.
