Mesogog's Army are the main antagonists of Power Rangers Dino Thunder.

They were led by the ruthless Mesogog and his minions Zeltrax and Elsa and their main goal was to conquer the world by destroying the humans and bringing back the dinosaurs.

History

The group was formed by Mesogog some time after his creation. Mesogog first appeared when Tommy Oliver escaped with the Dino Gems which was all he managed to escape with since Mesogog took over the rest of Tommy's research he did with Dr. Anton Mercer. Unaware that Anton Mercer was actually the human vessel for Mesogog's body, Anton was doing everything he could in his own scientific and mathematic genius to be rid of Mesogog but unfortunately was to powerful. But thanks to Tommy he managed to use the 5 Dino Gems to create the Dino Rangers and stop Mesogog's plans once and for all.

Mesogog's army fought the Dino Rangers multiple times and frequently created multiple monsters to fight the heroes but unfortunately for the villains, they were frequently losing and so Mesogog created new and new plans of taking over the world and getting rid of the Dino Rangers. At some point Trent was possessed and brainwashed by the White Dino Gem and became the evil White Ranger, and started serving Mesogog, who was also his father Anton Mercer. Thankfully, the Rangers managed to return Trent back to the side of good and he joined their team, becoming a hero again.

Zeltrax served Mesogog for the first half of the season and served the evil reptilian warlord undisputedly and was completely loyal to him. But, however, when seeing that Trent became Mesogog's second-in-command, Zeltrax was wrathful that his rival took his place and desired to get rid of Trent, and also Zeltrax's loyalty to Mesogog was ruined and totally destroyed. Zeltrax tried to frame Trent by destroying his image in the eyes of Mesogog, by destroying Mesogog's laboratory and framing Trent for that, but when Trent defected and joined the Power Rangers, Zeltrax again tried several attempts to serve Mesogog and restore his loyalty to his master, but unsuccessfully, however. Eventually, Zeltrax defected and created his own army, Zeltrax's forces, deciding to take over the world for himself.

In the two-part episode Thunder Storm, Lothor, the evil space ninja and sorcerer returned from the Abyss of Evil and brainwashed the Wind Ninja Rangers, forcing them to serve him. However, when the Rangers snapped out of Lothor's mind control with the help of the Dino Rangers and Thunder Rangers, the heroes joined and united their teams and managed to defeat the united forces of Mesogog's and Lothor's armies. Enraged Mesogog turned his wrath at Lothor and fought him. Mesogog emerged victorious and trapped Lotbor in his bottle, keeping him as a trophy.

In the finale episode of the season, Mesogog's fortress was destroyed by Haylie Ziktor's machine and Mesogog's plans of creating the new perfect were ruined. Zeltrax was also finally beaten and destroyed by the Rangers, and his army was destroyed as well and stopped to exist. And so then, after Zeltrax's defeat, Mesogog fought the Rangers personally and the heroes managed to finally defeat and destroy the villain. After their leader's death, Mesogog's army ceased to exist with the only surviving member who is still alive was Elsa, who defected and turned good.
