Robo Neo Cortex appears as one of its creator's minions, summoned in his quest to conquer the multiverse. It fights the player character by firing rockets and lasers at them. Three variants of the character appear as bosses, with only the Inferno variant never making an appearance.

Robo Neo Cortex has similar mannerisms to its inspiration, and is described as being capable of firing "punishing insults". It refers to Crash and Coco as "meatbags" in the teaser for the encounter with its gang, hinting that it may consider robots superior to organic beings.
