Tando

Tando is the secondary antagonist of "Blake", the last episode of Blake's 7.

He was portrayed by an uncredited actor.

Biography

Tando was one of the bounty hunters operating on Gauda Prime, hunting down the criminals who had settled there after it was declared a lawless "open planet". He and two others worked with Blake in tracking down Arlen. After Blake had lured Arlen into a false sense of security with a meal around a campfire, Tando and the others charged her. Arlen killed the other two but Tando shot her in the leg. As he was about to finish her off, Blake shot him in the back and killed him.

Blake's associate Deva later challenged him about Arlen's report that he had killed another bounty hunter. However, his disapproval quickly dissipated on him learning it was Tando, voicing the opinion that he was as bad as those he hunted and it had only been a matter of time before he also ended up with a price on his head.

• Tando was played by either Barry Summerford, Stephen Whyment or Steve Kelly, the extras listed as playing the bounty hunters.
• Tando appears in the fan-produced audio play "The Mark of Kane", voiced by Daniel Bowers. Occurring before "Blake", it depicts him working with Blake and another bounty hunter, Kane, to track down their _target Lafayette. When Kane learns Blake was involved in the death of Travis, who he had been hoping to kill himself for revenge, he shoots him in a rage and Tando kills him before being himself wounded by Kane's Mutoid assistant.
