The Poodle Lady is a major antagonist in Tim Burton's 1992 film Batman Returns, the second installment of the Burton/Schumacher Batman quadrilogy. She worked for The Penguin as a member of the Red Triangle Circus Gang.

She was played by Anna Katarina.

Biography

The Poodle Lady is first seen during the assault of Gotham City when she sends her poodle to blow up a store with a grenade. She is seen later with three other clowns when Batman tries to knock them all out with his Remote Control Batarang but her dog catches it right before she is hit. The Poodle Lady then escapes with her poodle and the Batarang to aid the Penguin in kidnapping the Ice Princess; allowing him to use the stolen Batarang to knock out the Ice Princess and incriminate Batman.

After helping the remaining members of the Circus Gang to sabotage the Batmobile, she updates Penguin on the status of his army of rocket-wielding penguins in her rather deadpan voice as they approach Gotham. She is last seen disappearing into the shadows after Penguin's plan to destroy Gotham City fails so she is most likely still at large.
