Preconference

The Wikimania Preconference will be held on August 9-10, before the main Wikimania programme (August 11-13). The Preconference will include many events including:

• Hackathon
• Wikimedia Foundation Learning Days
• WikiConference North America
  • Tours, edit-a-thons, Unconference, and more
• Scan-a-thon of BAnQ Archives
• Edit-a-thon for First Nations on Wikipedia
• Wiki Project Med (a day of medicine related talks)
• WMCON Followup Day at Wikimania
• Wikimania Takes Manhattan II (group train trip to Montreal)
• Activities at Quebec National Library and Archives (BAnQ)
• Movement Strategy Space (Thursday-Sunday, Salon 6)
• Wednesday night reception, 6p-10p, Les 3 Brasseurs/3 Brewers, 105 Rue Saint Paul Est, Montréal, QC H2Y 1G7 (no host, i.e. pay for your own drinks/food; facilitated by WikiConference North America)
