Johan Henrik Nebelong

Biography
Danish organist and professor.
He was the son of city builder N.S. Nebelong and wife Constance nee Horn and named after his brother, J.H. Nebelong. He was organist at the prison at Christianshavn in 1864 (which his father had drawn), founder of the Folkekoncerterne (1876), organist at Skt. Johannes Kirke from 1881, also cantor 1890, singing inspector from 1896, head of the Statens Lærerhøjskoles Musikafdelinger, censor at Lærer- og Lærerindeeksaminerne founder and longtime chairman of Dansk Organistforening, founder and chairman of Pensionsfond for danske Organisters Enker and chairman of the committee for Skole Sangstævner i Denmark. He was a Knight of Dannebrog.
