When Kirby and his friends decide to build a snow hotel, instead of a snow fort, all of the other kids on the playground copy his idea. This book was a bit too juvenile for me but I believe it will be good for pre-teens who are focusing on reading chapter books.

Brrr ... when winter comes, it can mean one thing during recess: snow forts! Kirby and his friends want to make it big on the playground this year, so they build not a fort ... but the Frostbite Hotel. Can the hotel stand the test of duplicitous friends and the school bully? Recommended. (206)
