Knut Andersen (1931–2019)

Sleek, and efficiently plotted. Internationally set for the first time -- teaser in Spain, main plot in Norway, but the first big plot point is in a brief visit to Switzerland. Rarely laugh-out-loud funny, but frequently amusing, and extra props for being the first time Hermansen goes from his eager underling persona to that of the cynical mentor. Also first (only?) time they get away with the money. However, Egon's reliving of his childhood is a bridge too far, and switches back and forth being groan-worthy and just outright boring. (Though Opsahl's obvious joy in portraying it is somewhat redeeming.)… (more)
