Thanks to Amazon Prime for a digital copy. All comments and opinions are my own.

If Mary Kay Andrews has written it, I want to read it. So even though I don’t usually choose short stories, I made an exception for this one – especially as it’s set at Christmas time.

So we have a well-written holiday romance with snow, former high school friends, an old Victorian house, a dog, an inheritance, a mean girlfriend, and a happy ever after ending. The story has a few typical romance tropes but that’s part of what makes this a comfy, feel-good read.

My big complaint – this was too short. I wasn’t ready to leave Tilly and George. I wanted to find out what happens next. Hey MKA, I hope you’ll be writing “Holiday Hideaway” #2 soon.

Over the course of six days, Tilly and George, former high school glee club members, reconnect.… (more)
