Short biography
"Chris Baty accidentally founded National Novel Writing Month in 1999, and oversaw the event's growth from 21 friends to more than 300,000 writers in 90 countries. Chris now serves as a Board Member Emeritus for NaNoWriMo, and spends his days wrangling words at Figma, teaching classes at Stanford University's Writer's Studio, and endlessly revising his own novels. He's the author of No Plot? No Problem! and the co-author of Ready, Set, Novel. His quest for the perfect cup of coffee is ongoing, and will likely kill him someday."- "Chris Baty". 2021. Lots of great tips for NaNoWriMo! This will be my third year of participating and my third book!

This is a fun book if you're participating in NaNoWriMo, but it hasn't got much more to offer than writing peptalks and NaNo in-jokes. Contains plenty of humor.

This is a guide for doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month,) and for what it is, it's very good! I got some great insights from it that I look forward to using this year. Wish I'd read it before I attempted NaNoWriMo the first time, to be honest. If you're looking for a more general guide to novel writing though, this is not the book for you.
