*I voluntarily reviewed a review copy of this book*

I really wanted to like this book and it had a very promising story line. However, the book just didn't capture my attention. The main character Ema was kind of boring and weak. I didn't really care for Jesu or his brother either. The book isn't bad though. It is an ok read but it was definitely missing something.

I previously read book 1 of this series and I had a hard time getting into the story. I couldn't connect with the characters at all. When asked if I wanted to continue the series, I honestly considered stopping at that point. However, the plot had the potential for a really good story and my gut was telling me to give it one more try.

As I started book 2, it was a bit of a slow start for me. However, that did not last long. I started to get into the story. I still get frustrated with Ema which is why this did not get a 5 star. I honestly can't relate to her very much. When I start to like her, she does something stupid. That being said, I wasn't ready for the book to end. I was fully invested in the story at that point and the ending just left me wanting more. I want to know what happens next. I am glad that I gave the series another chance. I am definitely looking forward to book 3.… (more)

This was an interesting start to a new series. I found the banter between the characters amusing and found myself smiling at how fun they were. As firsts in a series go, this wasn't bad. It kept my attention. I do prefer tougher heroines but this one was ok. I will probably read the next book as I do enjoy books by this author.

I NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD!! I enjoyed Lyn, a paranormal investigator and Sam a Greater demon that she saved from a huge demon because she thought Sam was a man, but now they are bound together and if she dies then he dies. Lyn and her best friend work together to teach tiny tots marital arts and Angie sees auras. Five girls that look like Lyn had marked their chests and committed suicide. Beside her great grand mother, Lyn is the last Daughter of Eve, but hasn't been trained how to kill demons, especially HUGE ones that attacked Sam! I CAN'T WAIT TO READ BOOK TWO.… (more)
