There are some great newpaper and other adds included in this description. They have also included the document that was submitted for the Coffin Medal. I wonder how many times the document was retyped since there were no word processors back then other than humans that were much more accurate than we are these days. It's easier to correct bytes than paper.

The detail was a bit light on the RR and Trolley side and I was surprised at how many records on daily traffic counts were missing so a lot of the traffic data was based on educated guesses (my opinion). If you are a Chicago person it probably made a bit more sense but I'm only superficially familiar with the Greater Chicago infrastucture.
