Gorgeous illustrations that capture my sense of Japanese myths as they feel they exist today. When you travel across Japan, somehow the belief in the presence of supernatural spirits always feels just around the corner, or even hidden right before your eyes, and Nicolas se Crecy brings this to life.

Started great (i loved the pig-dogs) but eventually devolved into sheer absurdist nonsense.

The story was iffy, but the art was fabulous. I somehow doubt the contents of the Louvre would be so well preserved after 2000 years, even if frozen under a glacier... Great pigdogs.
