So, I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I didn't think it would live up to the hype, I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, and I certainly didn't expect that ending. I have to give kudos to the author because the last fifty pages of the book absolutely made it for me and bumped this up to a five star rating. My only gripe is I STILL don't know how to pronounce 'Iseult'. If that's my only complaint, then crap, this book must be amazing. I would recommend this book (And I have!) 5 out of 5 stars.… (more)

I loved this book. True, I didn't like it as much as [book:Truthwitch|21414439], but I think it's a solid second edition into this trilogy? Series? I'm not sure what it's going to be. It for sure has a different feel than the book before it, I'm not going to lie, and it didn't go at the same break neck pace, but it still kept me interested and I actually gasped out loud one (Holy, Isuelt! WHY?). This tugs with emotions and it was great to see the two best friend apart and then somewhat back together again at the end. I'm looking forward to Bloodwitch and figuring more out about Owl and see if what Safi does when she earns her Freedom. I hope Merik and Kullen can be saved too. I would recommend this book. 5 out of 5 stars.… (more)

Then Merik Nihar set off, content with no riches, no gold, and no crown, as long as he had friends by his sid

Let me just say that to me Vivia definitely stole the spotlight in this book! XD She officially has a place in my heart, and Merik? His personal growth in this book and onwards sets a really good example of accepting our blindness to some facets in our life and society, owning up to that and correcting it

Paths do not come to you. You have to find them for yourself, and sometimes, you have to carve new ones entirely.

I highly suggest reading Sightwitch before Bloodwitch, since the characters in this book will be in book 3! This book has a lot of juicy information and clues to the whole series and the illustration! I'm a sucker for illustrations and learning more about the world in which the characters I'm reading about our living in. This is a MUST read if you're reading The Witchland series!… (more)
