I absolutely loved Sherrie Dillard’s memoir and I couldn’t stop reading it late into the night. Dillard’s journey takes you to fascinating places that you couldn’t imagine. She shares so much of her life with the reader in a truly relatable way. I’m thankful for books such as “I’ve Never Met A Dead Person I Didn’t Like.” This memoir illustrates how powerful the memoir genre can be when well written. Sherrie’s story is so compelling. She had hills and valleys in her childhood, and even though she could see and feel spirits from the other side, she tried to push them away because she wanted to be “normal;” she always felt she was on the outside looking in. But whenever things in her life got really bad, she would call on them and they would lead and comfort her. She finally realized they were the one true thing that had been with her all along. This intelligent story explores the often controversial world of the “other side” and the afterlife and one woman’s struggle to accept her gift and then embrace it fully. C. G

I loved this book. It spoke to me on such a personal level. In my search for (in my best moments) enlightenment and (in my worst moments) some understanding of why I’m in a particular difficulty and where I can find help to deal with it, many times I’ve read words which have been given in truth and love and have helped me to a greater or lesser extent. This one though, connected to my life in the everyday world, with its everyday trials and disappointments, with such compassion and perception that it was like rubbing a healing ointment directly onto my heart. I couldn’t stop reading it and as I read my troubles just seemed to slip off my shoulders. I really liked the way that we get glimpses of life through Mary’s eyes as that makes it easy to connect with Her energy and see how it can work in your own life. It’s packed with examples, information and instructions which guide you along the path to connecting with Mary’s energetic pattern and the meditations, invocations and prayers are powerful tools to change the vibrations around any situation. A truly wonderful book and one I’ll be reading over and over again.… (more)

I think this is the book I’ve been looking for all my life. I found it really helpful. I particularly liked the way Sherrie shares her own story and gives examples of difficulties and resolutions in other people’s lives. A lot of it had resonance with my own circumstances and made me realize that at any point, any moment, no matter how bad things might get or how down I might feel, all I had to do was reach out and help was there. Through sharing the everyday type of problems Sherrie and the people she has worked with have faced and, given the nature of life, will continue to face and seeing the patterns emerge and the magic of transformation at work, I’ve started to feel much more positive about resolving the various issues in my own life. There is so much that is uplifting in this book and the meditations and prayers have an immediate effect on lifting emotions and vibrations. I will keep on using the practices I found in this book and would recommend it to anyone. A terrific book.… (more)
