Boys and their trucks and cars! They never outgrow them! When little they make their own varoom!! sounds revving engines and zipping their cars and trucks - large and small - across the floor. Dads love race cars and watching the races; and often kiddies sit beside dad as he watches. Both revving their internal engines.

In Buster and the Christmas Parade kids will find a lot of racing or car terms..... popped the hood, oil running hot, slammed on his brakes, threw in reverse, tight turn. Plus, the story takes some exciting runs and turns. Its all about a team welcoming a newcomer and being friendly. About getting along with one another. Team play. And getting the job done.

Illustrated with delightfully cute and wacky cars in bright joyful colors, the reader will have a joyful Christmas experience at the Christmas parade being sure to get the Christmas tree where it should be.

While produced by a Christian children's publisher, there is nothing about true meaning of Christmas. Though various scenes of the town are shown, there is no nativity. So this is basically a secular story about a Christmas parade and cars and trucks. Cute story. Fun illustrations. Very nice book.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was so much fun! We especially loved the moose antlers on Buster! The story itself emphasizes kindness, acceptance, and forgiveness.
The illustrations by Ela Smietanka are exceptionally fun, with brilliant colors, and is delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone aged 4-108, but especially to a school, church library, or your local public library!
I requested and received a free temporary uncorrected e-proof on Adobe Digital Editions from Tommy Nelson via NetGalley. Thank you!

This book seems to be long on words and short on pictures. The story is nice for race car enthusiasts but other than that, this book drags. It’s not something I would read at Storytime or put on my shelf.

These books are cute and any kid that likes race cars be they fast cars or big dirt racing cars will enjoy this. I do find that it is a little long and wordy, so it might be a bit much for story time. This book also started with a meet the team and then how to practice your breathing exercises when you’re not on the track. It seemed this book was focusing more on concepts than on being entertaining. Saying that, I do love the illustrations, I love the artwork, I love the color. Sometimes the words were hard to read, because they blended into the background, but overall this was pleasant and kids will enjoy it.… (more)
