Another fun mystery in the A Knit and Knibble mystery series. I love that this book takes places around Halloween, it made if the perfect fall read to get me in the Halloween spirit.
Peggy Ehrhart did a great job of keeping me guessing who the killer was throughout the story. I was not able to guess who the killer was before the big reveal, which is always a pleasant surprise.

Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

A Dark and Stormy Knit (A Knit & Nibble Mystery) by Peggy Ehrhart

A Dark and Stormy Knit by Peggy Ehrhart is the eleventh A Knit & Nibble Mystery. It can easily be read as a standalone. It has been a little while since I read A Knit & Nibble Mystery. I found the book to be easy to read. I like the neighborhood where Pamela lives. It is a cozy community where Pamela has good friends. Pamela and Bettina meet for coffee every day. How Pamela makes coffee is described in detail each time. Pamela whips up delectable, sweet treats and meals as well. We follow Pamela as she goes through making each item step by step. Pamela works remotely for a fiber arts magazine. She reads prospective articles to see if they would suit the magazine and edits others. Each article is recounted, and I found one to be particularly enlightening. A neighbor’s sister is murdered on Halloween night, and, naturally, Pamela along with the other Knit and Nibble members join in the investigation. The mystery was not at the forefront of the story. Pamela asks questions amidst working, making coffee, knitting, and whipping up tasty treats. The “Fish Bicycle” group was an unusual addition. Those readers who like the cozy over the mystery will enjoy A Dark and Stormy Knit.… (more)

Knitmare on Beech Street (A Knit & Nibble Mystery) by Peggy Ehrhart

The “welcome to the neighborhood” committee was ready to greet their new neighbor. Instead, they find her dead on the kitchen floor. Amid rumors of ghostly happenings with strange sounds and weird lights in the mansion, Pamela and Bettina are not the least bit intimidated. They are forging ahead to get to the bottom of the mystery. And, of course, they do, just not as quickly as they should have. The mystery is interesting as are the characters, and it is an entertaining and quick read cozy.

Irish Knit Murder (A Knit & Nibble Mystery) by Peggy Ehrhart

After performing a series of Irish songs at a senior shindig, Isobel Lister is found dead in a backstage room. Pamela and Bettina are interested in finding out what happened. Was it murder, or natural causes, or even an accident? But before they can come to a satisfying answer, another tragedy occurs. Pam’s daughter wishes her mom would leave looking for answers to the police, but we all know that’s never going to happen! Pam and Bettina will find the answers, of course, without putting themselves in too much danger.
