Absolute masterclass. Tears in my eye. Many have tried to replicate the success of this book and that of "Barbarians at the Gate." They have fallen short.

I can't imagine the work required to write a book like this. It reads like a dream.

Where is the film drama adaptation? At least "Barbarians at the Gate" had a TV movie with James Garner.

Um, very thorough. I think the only thing he didn't write about were bedtimes and bowel movements.

Not many non-fiction books could be described as "unputdownable". This one is. A very, very moving account of one man's struggle to lead a fulfilling life despite severe epilepsy. And an indictment of the poor quality of some doctors and specialists.

I read this book a long time ago but had forgotten about it until I saw it in the news because apparently it's been turned into a movie. This was really well written. The subject doesn't sounds like something that would be exciting to read about but I couldn't put it down. On the down side, it will make you angry since it documents what appears to be a common theme these days with corporate executives i.e. greed, greed and more greed.
