- Elizabeth Fenn's field of study is early North America, focusing particularly on epidemic disease, Native American history, and social history.
She is the receipient of an ACLS Charles A. Ryskamp Research Fellowship as well as a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship. Her first book, Pox Americana, was awarded three prizes and generated widespread interest in the popular press and favorable reviews -- Prof. Fenn appeared on CNN Live Today, the History Channel, and ABC's Nightline.
