HB1. A Happy Bureaucracy : A Post-Apocalyptic Parody by M.P. Fitzgerald
Happy Bureaucracy 1 was among the best SFF dark humor satire that I've read. It's difficult to hit just the right note with that genre but Fitzgerald did so with this novel.
I put it in the same league as Scalzi's Red Shirts.

I downloaded this free prequel short story collection because I so thoroughly enjoyed the stand alone book 1 of the Happy Bureaucracy series. I would suggest fans skip this prequel and go straight for the good stuff. Happy Bureaucracy 1 was among the best SFF dark humor satire that I've read. It's difficult to hit just the right note with that genre but Fitzgerald did so with his novel to which I give top ratings.

The IRS is still at work even though the world ended! This story has twists you would never imagine, so much fun to read!
