Anna was the runt of her litter but she was the most hard working and determined. When she was young, her owner started training her and her siblings to pull a dogsled. When they were 13 months, they went on a voyage. Everyone told Pam (the owner) that Anna was too small but she allowed Anna to race, anyways. In the end, Anna became the leader of the team and helped them get home in time.

This book is about a sled dog named Anna who makes it across the arctic with her team as a lead dog despite the fact that she's the smallest on the team.
