With the right amount of romance to add that extra bit of tingling to this story and a great does of what was done in the past cannot be forgotten, this story of Past crimes and small town cover-up finally coming to light will keep you, like me flipping pages and wondering what happens next when you can't be reading! Blaise is such a wonderfully written character that you will be cheering her on from page three when she finds out about the election race and who is running for office. When she vows that now is the moment to return home, you will be right there for her, the victim, the town, and the story and you will not want to go anywhere except stick by her side to watch this story unfold. Honestly, where Blaise is concerned, I don't really blame her for her silence on not revealing the truth and waiting for so long to come forward. While she was seventeen and at an age to understand what was happening, she was still a young girl. The most important thing is that she did come forward.

Denise being the victim, it must have been really hard for her to have to stand up for justice. Yet, I found that she did show strength. This is also because she had her dad and her then boyfriend and now husband, Kane supporting her. The way that Denise's father supported her when he first learned the news was so endearing. Also, the fact that Kane never doubted Denise is great.

I was invested in Denise's story. All of the characters had purpose in the story. This was a fast read for me.… (more)
