The Terminal [DVD] (2004) by Tom Hanks

I first saw this with my husband and son, on Christmas Day 2006, when feeling a bit low - the first Christmas without our older son at home. What a wonderful movie it was, too. Tom Hanks is brilliant as the lost foreigner, unable to enter the country, and unable to fly out.

The humour is mostly subtle, and the plot minimal.. but it's a thoroughly enjoyable movie.

The extras are excellent too, and I'm not usually a huge fan of extras.

Highly recommended.

The Terminal by Steven Spielberg

A man visiting the US isn't allowed to leave the airport.

2.5/4 (Okay).

It's a dumb movie with a disastrously corny story, but Tom Hanks and the occasional joke makes it watchable.

Nice little ditty. Would have been better if the romance angle between Hanks & Zeta-Jones had been downplayed or cut. The other story lines were more interesting.
