Dreamweaver is currently owned by Adobe, as is every other former Macromedia product. The most recent version of DW is CS4 (creative suite 4).
Needless to say, this book, while a wonderful dead tree resource is now better suited as a dead flower resource. But if I were writing this review 5 years ago, I'd say that this is one of the more helpful books I've come across for getting your hands dirty with Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004. The H.O.T series, published by Lynda Weinman, are a very good resource for learning these cutting edge hundred/thousand-dollar tools that are used to make flashy web elements.
If you are going to learn Dreamweaver, though, try to find the one for the latest version. It'll give you a little more use that its older alternative.
