There are some great poems here, along with a few that seemed too much for me. I especially liked Sarah Arvio and Anne Carson. Joan Didion reading Gerard Manley Hopkins was a real treat!

If you're heading to NYC and you need a handy, small-sized guide this is a great resource. Breaks the city up into areas, each area has a fold-out map; each area has recommendations for restaurants, shopping, bars, and places to visit (museums, buildings, parks, historical sites).

I can't recommend this Knopf guide highly enough. A slim elegant volume, printed in Italy on high quality glazed paper, this book is not only packed with information, it is visually appealing. This is a must-have book for the Croatian traveler, or for the person who just wants to learn the region.

Both vocal and instrumental Gamelan ensembles, Arja opera, Wayang puppets, plaited sampian penjors, the Sangeh nutmeg monkey forest....it just doesn't get better than this.
